Today, Harris for President is releasing its first official video of the campaign: “We Choose Freedom.” Featuring Beyonce's song, "Freedom," the video underscores the core issue at stake this November: Americans' rights and freedoms. During the spot, Vice President Harris invites Americans to join her in the fight to protect those freedoms and to come together to defeat Donald Trump and his Project 2025 agenda once again.
From her time as a district attorney, attorney general, and United States Senator to her leadership as Vice President, Kamala Harris has led on the issues that matter most to voters – from health care and the economy, to gun violence and our democracy. In “We Choose Freedom,” Vice President Harris makes clear that all of those freedoms, as well as a future in which all Americans can succeed, are on the ballot this November.
In the first days of her candidacy, Vice President Harris is calling on Americans to fight with her for a future where the middle class is growing and strong, where all people can afford health care, where every American has the freedom to make decisions about their own body, and where everyone has the opportunity not just to get by, but to get ahead. This stands in stark contrast with Donald Trump, who is running a campaign of revenge and retribution for himself, no matter who else he hurts.
This video, airing across all campaign social media platforms, comes as Vice President Harris has received a historic groundswell of support for her candidacy and becomes the presumptive nominee of the Democratic Party. In just a few short days, Vice President Harris has united the Democratic Party, earning strong support from key coalitions, including labor groups, Black voters, Latino voters, AANHPI voters, women, and young voters.
With just over 100 days until the election, the American people must come together to fight for the future they want, and as Vice President Harris closes her video – “when we fight, we win.”
