Together we can advocate for Freedom Over Fascism:
When leaders escape accountability, it signals that power—not justice—rules, eroding trust, fueling corruption, and opening the door to authoritarianism. Billionaire-backed members of Congress, justices, and elites aren't serving the people—they’re scheming to suppress our voices, strip away our rights, and rule over us. But progress and power to the people is more than an idea; it’s a movement. By standing up, speaking out, and demanding dignity, opportunity, and justice for all, we can build an America that truly lives up to its promise.

🧓 The Social Security Administration plans to cut field office visits by 50%. What it means for you.
The Social Security Administration plans to drastically reduce in-person field office visits, shifting many services to online or phone-based systems. Officials argue the change will improve efficiency, but critics worry it will disadvantage seniors, low-income individuals, and people without reliable internet access. Experts warn the transition could create longer wait times and barriers to receiving timely benefits. —The Seattle Times
👶 Supreme Court agrees to hear arguments in Trump’s birthright citizenship challenge
The Supreme Court of the United States has agreed to review a landmark challenge to Donald J. Trump’s 2025 executive order that would end automatic birthright citizenship for children born in the U.S. to parents without legal status or only temporary status. If upheld, the order would overturn a doctrine rooted in the 14th Amendment and long-standing precedent that grants citizenship to nearly everyone born on U.S. soil — regardless of parental immigration status. Multiple lower courts had blocked the order, ruling it unconstitutional; now the high court will decide whether those rulings stand. Oral arguments are expected in spring 2026, with a decision likely by the end of the term. — NPR
🏥 Tacoma detainee, set to be deported, lost toe suffering under ICE care
A detained man at the Tacoma immigration facility suffered a severe health crisis — he was hospitalized and ultimately had a toe amputated after reportedly being denied timely medical care while in ICE custody. His attorney says he suffered from serious conditions, including anemia and internal bleeding, before treatment was finally provided. Advocates warn his case illustrates a broader pattern of neglect and medical mistreatment in immigration detention centers. —The Seattle Times
💼 Warren Demands Private Credit Stress Test After Big Bankruptcies
Senator Elizabeth Warren is calling for regulatory stress tests on the private credit market following several high-profile bankruptcies. The Senator is “warning that implosions of Tricolor Holdings and First Brands Group are “likely the tip of the iceberg” in terms of bad debt held by Wall Street’s biggest banks.” Concerns center on whether lenders in this rapidly growing sector can withstand economic shocks without destabilizing broader financial systems. Advocates of increased oversight warn that hidden risks could trigger cascading failures. The proposal signals rising political scrutiny of opaque lending practices. —Bloomberg
📝 Missouri court orders new wording for ballot measure seeking to restrict abortion rights
A Missouri court ruled that officials must revise the language for an upcoming ballot measure aimed at restricting abortion rights. The judge found the original wording misleading and ordered clearer phrasing so voters understand the proposal’s true impact. Supporters of abortion access say the rewritten language could significantly influence public perception. The decision comes amid mounting battles over ballot wording nationwide. —The Seattle Times

How Project 2025 shifts the USA towards a fascist regime
Project 2025 is a blatant power grab designed to give extreme MAGA Republicans unchecked control. Donald Trump and his Republican allies plan to use it to criminalize abortion and those seeking asylum, attack the poor and middle class, and dismantle essential programs like Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid, the Affordable Care Act, SNAP, and veterans’ benefits.
Under Trump’s Project 2025, Republicans intend to impose a nationwide abortion ban and create a national registry to monitor women’s pregnancies and miscarriages. They even threaten to imprison doctors and nurses who provide essential care.
If enacted, Project 2025 would also gut the Affordable Care Act, leading to higher healthcare costs for everyone and a loss of protections for pre-existing conditions. Workers would lose their right to overtime pay, and middle-class families would face tax hikes—all while wealthy corporations receive new handouts.
Republicans’ Project 2025 includes a detailed plan to dismantle Social Security and Medicare as we know them. This means slashing benefits for seniors and allowing Big Pharma to charge exorbitant prices for medication.

How do we fight Fascism?
Hope
Hope is a powerful weapon against fascism, serving as both a shield and a rallying cry in the face of fear and oppression. While fascism thrives on division, despair, and apathy, hope inspires unity, action, and resilience. Hope empowers us to envision a society built on equality, justice, and freedom, motivating us to take meaningful steps to protect these values.
Respect
Respect is a formidable weapon against fascism, countering its foundation of hatred and dehumanization with dignity and inclusivity. By leading with respect, we create a society where collaboration and compassion overpower fear and division, rendering fascism powerless in the face of unity.
Unity
Unity is one of the most powerful weapons against fascism, as it dismantles the divide-and-conquer tactics that authoritarian regimes rely on to maintain power.
🗽The strength of a nation is not its ability to fight wars, but rather by its ability to prevent them. - Gene Roddenberry
Together, we can protect and empower those we love, champion our rights, freedoms, and democracy, hold our leaders accountable to the people's will, and inspire voters to make a meaningful difference.
