🗽 Freedom Over Fascism News & Actions for December 1, 2025. Freedom is a daily act of advocacy and holding our leaders accountable to the will of the people.
Today in Freedom Over Fascism we’re featuring: December 1, 2025 news briefs, video briefs, and calls-to-action. Freedom is a daily act of advocacy and holding our leaders accountable to the will of the people.
Together we can advocate for Freedom Over Fascism:
When leaders escape accountability, it signals that power—not justice—rules, eroding trust, fueling corruption, and opening the door to authoritarianism. Billionaire-backed members of Congress, justices, and elites aren't serving the people—they’re scheming to suppress our voices, strip away our rights, and rule over us. But progress and power to the people is more than an idea; it’s a movement. By standing up, speaking out, and demanding dignity, opportunity, and justice for all, we can build an America that truly lives up to its promise.

🏭 Campbell’s ousts executive over alleged ‘poor people,’ 3D-printed chicken comments
A senior executive at the Campbell’s food company was terminated after a former employee released a recording in which the executive disparaged the company’s products as “food for poor people” and made racist remarks about Indian coworkers. The recording, made during a salary-negotiation meeting, also included claims the company used “bio-engineered meat”—which the company denies. The former employee alleges he was fired in retaliation for reporting the comments, and has filed a lawsuit seeking damages. — The Hill
🔎 US regulators ‘taking seriously’ allegations of bankers’ support for Epstein
Federal banking regulators are now reviewing serious allegations that top bankers may have enabled convicted sex-offender Jeffrey Epstein to remain connected to the financial system long after his 2008 conviction. The announcements come after a letter from a leading senator urging accountability for banks like JPMorgan Chase that maintained business with Epstein well into the 2010s. Regulators say they will escalate any evidence of insider misconduct to enforcement divisions, marking the first sign of official scrutiny of alleged enabling by major financial institutions. — The Guardian
📄 Judge seeks to shield Epstein victims after dozens of names exposed in documents release
A federal judge is asking the Justice Department to explain how it will protect the identities of the Jeffrey Epstein victims of sexual abuse and trafficking. “…lawyers said that dozens of their names appeared unredacted in documents released by Congress, prompting what they described as “widespread panic.” The lawyers stressed the need for privacy, security, and protection for the sexual abuse and sex trafficking victims. — NBC News
🌎 The right wants to write Indigenous people out of US history. We won’t let them.
It appears there is a coordinated effort by far-right actors aims to erase Native and Indigenous histories from school curricula, public records, and cultural memory. There are instances where textbooks, legislative efforts, and public education boards have stripped out references to Indigenous sovereignty, genocide, and colonial violence. Advocates vow to push back through grassroots organizing, public education campaigns, and reclaiming historical truth. — Truthout
🛡️ Bishop William Barber: ICE raids and shredding of social safety net are linked
In a powerful address, civil-rights leader Bishop William J. Barber connected recent immigration raids by ICE with broader federal efforts to dismantle social safety nets, arguing they stem from the same agenda of destabilizing marginalized communities. Reverend Barber emphasized that attacking immigrants, welfare, health access, and labor protections works together to suppress the majority while enriching the few. He called for solidarity and resistance to policies that marginalize entire communities under the guise of law and order. — Truthout
📁 Leaked files show far-right influences among Project 2025 applicants
Hacked Heritage Foundation documents reveal some Trump administration applicants openly citing Nazi and far-right political theorists as influences — a disturbing look at the extremist ideology fueling this agenda. — The Guardian

How Project 2025 shifts the USA towards a fascist regime
Project 2025 is a blatant power grab designed to give extreme MAGA Republicans unchecked control. Donald Trump and his Republican allies plan to use it to criminalize abortion and those seeking asylum, attack the poor and middle class, and dismantle essential programs like Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid, the Affordable Care Act, SNAP, and veterans’ benefits.
Under Trump’s Project 2025, Republicans intend to impose a nationwide abortion ban and create a national registry to monitor women’s pregnancies and miscarriages. They even threaten to imprison doctors and nurses who provide essential care.
If enacted, Project 2025 would also gut the Affordable Care Act, leading to higher healthcare costs for everyone and a loss of protections for pre-existing conditions. Workers would lose their right to overtime pay, and middle-class families would face tax hikes—all while wealthy corporations receive new handouts.
Republicans’ Project 2025 includes a detailed plan to dismantle Social Security and Medicare as we know them. This means slashing benefits for seniors and allowing Big Pharma to charge exorbitant prices for medication.

How do we fight Fascism?
Hope
Hope is a powerful weapon against fascism, serving as both a shield and a rallying cry in the face of fear and oppression. While fascism thrives on division, despair, and apathy, hope inspires unity, action, and resilience. Hope empowers us to envision a society built on equality, justice, and freedom, motivating us to take meaningful steps to protect these values.
Respect
Respect is a formidable weapon against fascism, countering its foundation of hatred and dehumanization with dignity and inclusivity. By leading with respect, we create a society where collaboration and compassion overpower fear and division, rendering fascism powerless in the face of unity.
Unity
Unity is one of the most powerful weapons against fascism, as it dismantles the divide-and-conquer tactics that authoritarian regimes rely on to maintain power.
🗽The strength of a nation is not its ability to fight wars, but rather by its ability to prevent them. - Gene Roddenberry
Together, we can protect and empower those we love, champion our rights, freedoms, and democracy, hold our leaders accountable to the people's will, and inspire voters to make a meaningful difference.
